14th Tauranga Multicultural Festival 2013

Rarotonga, South Africa, Chile, Spain, America – All In New Zealand

Had the best day today. Fun One 7 years slipped on a shirt from Spain, I my Raro singlet and we headed out to get our South African friend, Karen. We were off to the Multi Cultural Festival in Tauranga.

The place was crawling with the delishesness of so many dribbling things I was lost! I started with the Completo with Sangria (non alcoholic) from Chile. Karen a coffee. Fun one, the bouncy castle, with L & P!

So many stalls that I can’t think which one was the best. The South African food section was next. I was educated about the dessert pies and yummy flavoursome sausage. So good. We taste tested sausage and inhaled a mini melk tart  – YUM!

Fun one 7 years managed to weasel a stick of cotton candy that was bigger than his head, 6 hot mini donuts and a choclate milk. I may or may not have eaten half 😉  Sugar all over his face.

We ended with the first annual pumpkin picking session and a dip in a pool. So glad that I finally made it to the Festival this year. We will be back!

Side note: Managed to cook a pie so hot that it blistered a little man’s finger. One huge bandage for a pointy finger tip. Oh well, at least it won’t bother him in bed tonight. 🙂
